Dialect of Thanksgiving

August 16, 2024 John Nsamba Comments off Devotions

Though some tongues just love the taste of gossip, Christians have better uses for language than that. Don’t talk dirty or silly. That kind of talk doesn’t fit our style. Thanksgiving is our dialect. Ephesians 5:4 (MSG)

Christians are a people in whom and for whom God has done awesome and wonderful things.
We have a lot to be thankful for.
We have a Father who so loves us exceedingly that He gave us His all when He gave us His Son. We have a Savior Jesus Christ who in His selfless Love laid down His Life to redeem us. We have a friend, a comforter the Holy Spirit who loves us endlessly that He’s come to live with and in us forever.
Instead of talking dirty, silly or foolish we should give thanks. Complaining, quarreling, murmuring is dirty, silly, foolish talk.
Worried talk, fearful talk, doubtful talk is also dirty silly, foolish talk.
Let’s replace all of that with thanksgiving the language of Faith.
