Blessings [are] on the head of the righteous, Proverbs 10:6(NKJV)
As believers we don’t have to seek or pray for blessings. Because we are in Christ all that God has is now ours. Just as forgiveness, eternal life, peace, healing, are ours in Christ so are blessings. We are blessed with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ – Ephesians 1:3. Because God has made us righteous, meaning He has made us right with Him, His blessings are in us, and upon us. We are righteous not because of our behavior but from who we are in Christ – 2Corinthians 5:21. Now instead of seeking, praying, and working for blessings we should: One; Recognize we are already blessed in Christ. Two; Declare we are blessed. Three; Continually thank God who has blessed us – Ephesians 1:3. Four; Live and act as blessed ones. Serve, give, not to get blessings but as ones who are already blessed.
