And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. 2 Peter 1:4 (NLT)
You do not need to promise God anything. You cannot rely on your promises to God.
The good news is God doesn’t need your promises and He doesn’t depend on your promises. It’s us who needed God to give us promises – assurance that it will all turn out the best.
God gives us His promises as proof we can hold onto as we walk and work with Him. God gives us His promises to stand on to access His power and provision.
It’s by standing on the promises of God that we are partakers of and participaters in God’s own Life.
We stand on God’s promises by first knowing them, then by speaking them over our lives and lastly by acting in line with them in all we think, say and do.
Stop dwelling on problems, thinking and worrying about them, talking about them all the time to yourself and everyone you meet. When facing problems that’s when we ought to be preoccupied more with proclaiming the promises of God instead of crying and complaining.
For every problem God has a promise.
Get into the Word of God to find out and know His promises for you. After you have found out and known what God has promised proclaim it over yourself. Then let your thinking, talk and actions agree with what God has promised in His Word.
