When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Romans 5:6 (NLT)
The Kairos moment is the opportune time, the right season.
It’s the right moment, the suitable time to do something. We put in and get the most out of time, life, resources and work by looking out for, paying attention to, and acting accordingly in regards to the Kairos moment.
One time as Jesus came closer to Jerusalem and saw the city ahead, he began to weep. “How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes. Before long your enemies will build ramparts against your walls and encircle you and close in on you from every side. They will crush you into the ground, and your children with you. Your enemies will not leave a single stone in place, because you did not accept your opportunity for salvation.” Luke 19:41-44 (NLT)
Jerusalem or the people in that city did not recognize their Kairos moment – their opportune time for Salvation. They didn’t understand that Jesus the Prince of Peace had come to them and accepting Him and His ministry was their Salvation from not only present evil but even that which was to come later.
How you respond to the Kairos moment determines whether you gain or lose, advance, stay, or regress, rejoice or regret, succeed or fail in life and like for the Jews in Jerusalem of Jesus’ day it was the deciding moment and factor between Life and death.
Always be on the lookout for and right away respond positively to your Kairos moment – the right time of opportunity, when you have to act.
