Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations as Your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth as Your possession. Psalms 2:8 (AMPC)
What God has for us is far bigger than and beyond where we are and what we often ask for and imagine. Most of us comfortably settle for some narrow squeezed place, which could be physically, mentally, in relationships, ministry, business, finances.
We shouldn’t limit selves regarding our sphere of influence in God.
Look beyond yourself, immediate family, and neighborhood. You’re called for and to the nations.
The Holy Spirit and His ability in you, is for the purpose of taking Christ’s influence from your home to the farthest nations of the earth.
Acts 1:8 (AMPC) But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.
The God in you is not just for you and the few closest to you but for the countless multitudes in the nations of the world.
The light in you isn’t just for your house; it’s called the light of the world or the nations.
John 8:12 (AMPC) Once more Jesus addressed the crowd. He said, I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not be walking in the dark, but will have the Light which is Life.
Asking God for the nations isn’t necessarily crying out to Him saying “Lord give me the nations” It’s joining and getting involved with Him in His world view and purpose.
It’s taking on His love heart and attitude towards the nations. For God so loved the world…John 3:16. Pray not just for you and your family but the nations.
Preach the gospel not only to your neighborhood but also the nations. You may not be called to go personally, physically but you can prayerfully and financially send and support those called to go.
Today with the available information technology, the social media platforms, it’s the easiest thing to share with anyone anywhere around the world from wherever you’re. We each have the nations on our desks, laps and fingers – meaning desktops, laptops, tabs and cellphones.
Use technology and all the gadgets you get your hands on to take the world for Jesus.
Envision your calling, gifting, talent, ministry, or business as having a global presence, influence and impact whether directly or indirectly.
Be interested in and have a healthy concern for your village, town, region, country, and the world. Get involved with people, visions, causes, missions, and projects with a national or global scope and outreach.
All these are some of the ways we ask for the nations for our inheritance and the uttermost parts of the earth for our possession.
