Proverbs 3:26 (AMPC) Be not afraid of sudden terror and panic, nor of the stormy blast or the storm and ruin of the wicked when it comes [for you will be guiltless], For the Lord shall be your confidence, firm and strong, and shall keep your foot from being caught [in a trap or some hidden danger].
Our life is described as being in Christ. We are in Him. Everything concerning us is in the Lord. We are not alone; we are not on our own. We are united and one with God.
So whatever we face, He faces it together with us. Whatever we go through He goes through it with us. Whatever comes against us, it comes against Him. Therefore the Lord as our confidence is the knowledge, persuasion, and tranquility that there’s nothing to worry about or be afraid of because the God of all flesh, the One to whom nothing is hard, the Lord of hosts is joined with us, He is for us. So we tell circumstances, conditions, challenges, and crises – “Call your councils of war, but they will be worthless. Develop your strategies, but they will not succeed. For God is with us!” Isaiah 8:10 (NLT)
