But all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others into harmony with Him]. It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor). 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 (AMPC)
Any separation, any rejection, any enmity that we have been told, or we think, or we experience or sense to be between God and us is on our side and in our mind, feelings and reasoning.
God has already personally present in Christ reconciled us with Himself. The Cross of Christ has restored us to favor with God and brought us into harmony with Him.
God is not counting up and holding our sins against us because He already held and counted and blotted out all of them in Christ on the cross.
For our sake God made Jesus Christ who was without sin to be sin for us so that we might be made the Righteousness of God in Him-see 2Corinthians 5:21.
But multitudes don’t yet know this Good News. Many continue to live and walk antagonistic to God, thinking He’s disinterested in them, disappointed with them, disapproving of them, distant from them. Yet in Christ in the Cross, Father God has demonstrated that He is passionately interested in every one of us that He created in His own image and likeness.
This is the truth that sets us free and believing it is how we act and live in the liberty as children of God. The message of reconciliation is what births confidence because when you know God is with you then all things are possible for you. Mark 10:27.
The truth of reconciliation produces boldness because when you are certain God is for you then who can be against you? Romans 8:31. In Christ Jesus through His crucifixion death and resurrection you’ve been reconciled with God – brought into intimate union with Him. Live and walk in the consciousness of your oneness with God. Know that His approval, love, faithfulness, mercy, wisdom, ability are all yours to use, experience, enjoy, and share with others.
