Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord. Remember that the Lord will give you as a reward what he has kept for his people. For Christ is the real Master you serve. Colossians 3:23- 24 (GNT)
You are God’s business. He’s busy preoccupied with you. Everything concerning you concerns Him and is very important to Him. On the flip side God is your inescapable business. No place to hide from Him. There’s no aspect of your life where God doesn’t feature and factor. Your life and work is both God’s business and pleasure at the same time. The sooner you realize this, the easier and more satisfied you will live. We are here on earth to do God’s business till Jesus our master comes back. Luke 19:12-13 (NKJV) Therefore He said: “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come.’
A husband’s business is his wife. He lets God use that business by loving his wife sacrificially, nourishing and caring for her just as Christ does the Church. Ephesians 5:25-29
A wife’s business is her husband. She lets God use that business by submitting to her husband. This means understanding, adapting to, supporting her husband in ways that show her service to the Lord. Ephesians 5:22-24
Parent’s businesses are their children. They let God use that business by not irritating and provoking their children to anger [not exasperating them to resentment], but rearing them [tenderly] in the training and discipline and the counsel and admonition of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4 (AMPC)
Whether you’re cleaning, at school, cooking, in business, farming, in the armed forces, banking, policing, an employer or an employee, working under another or supervising others under you, whatever you do is God’s business so let Him use it, let it bring Him glory. You let God use your business or work or vocation by: Knowing that Christ is the real Master you serve and not you or other people. He’s the real reason you do whatever you do. Always remembering that the Lord will give you as a reward what he has kept for his people. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord. Do it all as to Him.
