For in [this] hope we were saved. But hope [the object of] which is seen is not hope. For how can one hope for what he already sees? Romans 8:24 (AMPC)
When Father God gave us Jesus His son He gave us assurance that there’s nothing else that He wouldn’t freely give or do for us. So for the things we haven’t seen or experienced yet, hope is how we lay hold of them.
Jesus is our hope. Because of Him and His finished work, we can look forward to God’s best and highest for us. We know even the things we haven’t yet seen or touched are already available to us in Christ. We know that Jesus is our assurance of a true relationship and fellowship with God that is forever.
It is Jesus who enables us to wait with patience and composure. He has gone on ahead as our captain and pioneer. By looking and focusing on Christ we always walk with confident expectation of good.
It is because of Jesus that we have assurance in an unseen God. It is because of Him that we look forward to life beyond the grave. It is because Jesus rose from the dead that we confidently expect to live forever with God.
