But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole. Isaiah 53:5 (AMPC)
When sin entered the world through Adam’s act of disobedience, it brought with it untold grievous and torturous wounds. We were all wounded in mind, emotionally, physically, and relationally. Then we went on to inflict the same wounds on one another.
But thanks to God our Loving and caring Father. He gave us Jesus who not only took upon Himself our sin but also owned our wounds that were a result of the sin.
He became sin for us; He was wounded for our sin.
Because He took upon Himself our wounds in His suffering and crucifixion on the Cross we have been ransomed or redeemed not only from sin but also from all the wounds it brought.
Therefore you shouldn’t anymore carry any wounds whether in your mind, whether in your body, whether emotionally, or in your relationships.
