For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)
Salvation is a comprehensive package containing deliverance from all evil including sin, guilt, fear, worry, confusion, shame, condemnation oppression, sickness, suffering, bondage, curse, poverty, death, hell, and the grave among others, and containing deliverance into all good including Righteousness, assurance, peace, acceptance, liberty, rest, healing, health, safety, blessing, prosperity, everlasting life, and heaven among others.
God freely richly gave us Salvation which is all these things mentioned here plus many others. We did not do anything to be saved. God did everything and freely gave it all to us. This is Grace.
We can only freely receive what God has freely given. Here there’s no suggestion or implication of the language of deserve or merit.
Grace is God freely joyfully lavishly giving and sharing of Himself and all He has. This is how we are saved, forgiven, healed, delivered, blessed and continue so to the end.
