Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians 3:12 (NIV)
The world may not have chosen you. Your parents may not have chosen you – may be they had concluded on the number of children they wanted, then you showed up unplanned and unprepared for, perhaps they wanted a boy and you came out a girl or the other way round. The environment you’re in may not have chosen you – being unfavorable to you. Even you yourself may not have chosen you – seeing yourself unworthy, inferior, rejected. But God chose you from the foundation of the world before your race, sex, personality, temperament were determined. He chose you as His own beloved accepted valued child. Even when you do not chose Him God still chooses you waiting on you to choose to accept Him as the One who has chosen you for love bringing Him pleasure and honor.
