So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Master, the one you love so very much is sick.” When Jesus got the message, he said, “This sickness is not fatal. It will become an occasion to show God’s glory by glorifying God’s Son.” John 11:3-4 (MSG)
God is into total wholeness for the entire person. He’s not satisfied with temporary partial fixes. He is into dealing with the root of the matter and not just scraping the surface. He wants us to experience and enjoy the best and most fulfilling and not just some momentary fleeting relief.
God is long term and lifetime in working. His work for you is long term; it’s for your entire life time.
God is generational and global in planning. His good plans for you are not just for you but the whole world and generations after you. Acts 2:39 (AMPC) For the promise [of the Holy Spirit] is to and for you and your children, and to and for all that are far away, [even] to and for as many as the Lord our God invites and bids to come to Himself.
He is eternal in purpose. His purposes for us are for eternity.
In view of all that, it’s now clear why it is only possible to walk with God by faith. Hebrews 11:6.
It is through faith that we see and are assured of what God has worked out or is working out for us and so we rest as we wait to see the manifestation of it in the natural.
Faith which is taking God at His Word is our fearless confidence when in the natural nothing seems to be happening.
Hebrews 10:35-36 (AMPC) Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.
