I am surprised and astonished that you are so quickly turning renegade and deserting Him Who invited and called you by the grace (unmerited favor) of Christ (the Messiah) [and that you are transferring your allegiance] to a different [even an opposition] gospel. Galatians 1:6 (AMPC)
A renegade is a deserter and in the army that’s a dangerous person now regarded as an enemy. God called us into a relationship and fellowship with Him by Grace through Faith. This means He did everything in delivering, saving, and making us right with Him. He desires we continue in the same way where our sole response and participation is to totally trust and rely on Him in this union and communion with Him.
But when we assume that we have to contribute from our own strength and efforts in order to live and walk with God we have turned renegade, we have denied the Faith! Our walk with God is not about a to-do but it-is-done list.
