Now am I trying to win the favor of men, or of God? Do I seek to please men? If I were still seeking popularity with men, I should not be a bond servant of Christ (the Messiah). Galatians 1:10 (AMPC)
Pleasing God means hearing Him and doing what He says is paramount over and above everyone and everything else.
Most of the time what pleases God doesn’t please men and vice versa. So we can’t please God and men at the same time. When we choose to please God we choose to be disapproved of, and disowned by men. Yet there’re priceless and eternal rewards for pleasing God. Abraham pleased God by believing Him and it was counted to Him for Righteousness. Moses pleased God by choosing to leave behind the treasures and pleasures of Egypt and go on a harsh and hard journey with the people of God. He saw and enjoyed the glory and goodness of God and lived complete and fulfilled.
Choose to please God. Loose sight of men’s opinion. Hear God, agree with Him, submit to Him and live complete and fulfilled.
