I am not going to go back on that. Is it not clear to you that to go back to that old rule-keeping, peer-pleasing religion would be an abandonment of everything personal and free in my relationship with God? I refuse to do that, to repudiate God’s grace. If a living relationship with God could come by rule-keeping, then Christ died unnecessarily. Galatians 2:21(MSG)
Denying Christ isn’t just necessarily saying “I don’t know you, I don’t want you, go away Jesus”
It’s much more about denying what He did for us in His work of saving us. It is refusing and rejecting His free offer of Salvation and Life by Grace and instead going to keeping certain rules and regulations we think will earn us acceptance and approval with God. Do not repudiate or deny God’s Grace by trying to merit or earn anything from Him. Accept and embrace God’s Grace by acknowledging Jesus Christ and what He did as the only way and basis of a relationship with God and access to all things from Him.
