I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your works; I muse on the work of Your hands. Psalm 143:5 (NKJV)
With the exception of Joshua and Caleb all the adult Israelites who left Egypt died in the wilderness without entering the promised land because of unbelief – Hebrews 3:19. The unbelief was a result of forgetting what God had done. Psalm 106:13 (NIV) But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his plan to unfold. When we forget what God has done it’s hard to believe and see what God is doing. This is why we have to intentionally and aggressively set our hearts and minds on what God has done already in the past. For then we are assured that the same God who never changes will do what He has done before and even greater things. This is the power of meditation. As you think over and speak to yourself about the things God has already done, you’re stirred and built up in the Faith. Meditate on the salvation, deliverance, healing, provision and victory God has already given in Christ according to the Scriptures. Also meditate on your personal life testimonies where God has helped you.
