Every morning is both a fresh and refreshing start. It’s a messenger of good news reassuring us of God’s unending kindness and care for us. The writer of our theme verse prays that the morning brings him word of God’s unfailing love, that he is given a sign or some good news of God’s care and kindness. But the truth is whether or not we have physically seen or experienced any sign we can trust and rest in God’s unfailing love because He has already given us proof and assurance of it in His Word. God has already declared His unfailing love over and over in Scripture and has demonstrated it for all eternity in giving us His Son. The Good News of Jesus laying down His life for us is the Word of God’s unfailing love we should wake up to every morning. There’s nothing the One who freely gave us His life won’t freely give or do for us.
