The Name of the Lord is a strong tower; the [consistently] righteous man [upright and in right standing with God] runs into it and is safe, high [above evil] and strong. Proverbs 18:10 (AMPC)
A tower is a trusted place of safety where no harm can reach. That’s exactly who God is to us. The Scripture talks about the Name of the Lord being our tower. The Name of the Lord is a revelation of who the Lord is, His nature, character, and attributes.
The Lord by nature is safety, protection and defense. The Name Jesus means Salvation. In Him we are saved from sin, death, the curse, sickness, poverty, and all oppression.
Salvation includes healing, preservation, deliverance, peace and wholeness.
When Jesus was in the world He kept the disciples in the Father’s Name.
As He was leaving the world He prayed to the Father to keep them and ultimately all of us in His Name.
John 17:11-12 (NKJV) Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your Name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We [are.] While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your Name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
We are kept, protected, sustained in the Father’s Name.
The Name of the Lord represents all that He is and has. It’s a presentation of His person, presence, power and provision.
Call upon the Name of the Lord, pray in His Name, and trust in the Name. Everything you do in word or action let it be in the Name of the Lord.
