Great have been my troubles from the time when I was young, but my troubles have not overcome me. Psalm 129:2 (BBE)
Troubles don’t mean something is wrong with you, or God is not with you, or that you’re defeated, a failure, and a victim. Since the fall of man at the dawn of creation troubles have been around. But the God who helps us out of all trouble, who empowers us to triumph through and over every trouble, has always been around before troubles ever began and He is always present with us in every trouble. Therefore, we can never be defeated. All kinds of trouble whether in the form of hardship, persecution, hunger, poverty, danger or death cannot overcome us. Instead, we are overcomers over it all because of and through God’s love for us. Romans 8:35,37 No trouble whether caused or stirred up by life or death, angels or spirits, the present or the future, powers above or powers below, or anything from creation can defeat us. Instead, we’re already overcomers over it all through God who loves us. Romans 8:38-39
