The LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel. Psalm 147:2 (NKJV)
It’s in the nature of the Lord to build. He built all creation and even after everything was broken and scattered by sin, He started rebuilding and gathering all together again, first restoring relationship with man. Even now the Lord is building and gathering. We are God’s building -1Corinthians 3:9, we are being built up for a dwelling place of God in the spirit -Ephesians 2:22 The Lord doesn’t break and scatter but builds and gathers together. The Lord heals. Psalm 147:3 (NKJV) He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds. All healing including spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, relational is God building and gathering us together. The Lord builds and gathers together by encouraging and strengthening. Psalm 147:6 (NKJV) The LORD lifts up the humble. The Lord builds and gathers us by refreshing and renewing us. Psalm 147:8 (NKJV) Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who prepares rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains. The Lord builds and gathers us with assurance, security and blessing Psalm 147:13 (NKJV) For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your children within you. The Lord builds us and gathers us together by giving us peace and providing for us- Psalm 147:14 (NKJV) He makes peace [in] your borders, [And] fills you with the finest wheat.
