But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: John 1:12 (NKJV)
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. This is not in the sense that at first there was God the Father then later on He gave birth to God the Son. The Son has always existed with the Father and Holy Spirit from eternity. God the Father and God the Son have always had and shared a relationship that’s experienced and enjoyed between a Father and a son in the communion of God the Holy Spirit. This is what it means that Jesus Christ is the begotten son of God.
Jesus Christ came into the world to receive, and embrace us into the same intimate, love relationship and fellowship He’s enjoying with the Father in the communion of the Holy Spirit.
When we receive and embrace Jesus Christ as the Son of God we receive and embrace sonship – the same loving relationship and fellowship Jesus Christ has with the Father.
