And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV)
While there are skeptics who claim they don’t believe in miracles there are those who say miracles only happened in Bible times and when the last apostle died so did the age of miracles. Both groups are so pitifully wrong.
Miracles are still here with and among us today.
First off a miracle is a divine supernatural intervention for good in the affairs of men. It is God intervening in the affairs of men for good in a way that’s above and beyond the natural.
Since a miracle is a work of God, miracles are still happening today, tomorrow, and as long as man is here on earth for the following reasons:
God who is the worker of miracles is still here. He’s the same yesterday today and forever. –See Hebrews 13:8. He’s the same miracle worker yesterday today and forever.
God the miracle worker treats everyone of us on the same basis regardless of person or generation. –See Acts 10:34, 35. He’s always working miracles everywhere for everyone in every generation.
God wants everyone to believe and live. Miracles get people’s attention and help draw them to hear the Word and hence believe. John 20:30, 31.
Miracles are part and parcel of the Gospel. Our theme Scripture has told us that these signs or miracles inevitably follow those who believe the Gospel that’s preached. Mark 16:15-18. As long as the Gospel is being preached, heard, and believed; there will always inevitably follow divine supernatural interventions for good in the affairs of men.
Lastly the Name of Jesus carries miracles. It’s a wonderful Name; it’s infused with wonders or miracles. Again our theme Scripture says ” in My Name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
As long as we have, live, walk, speak, act, pray in the Name of Jesus there will always follow us signs or wonders or miracles.
Expect a miracle today right now in your life. Walk in the miraculous as you relate with God the miracle worker, as you hear and preach the Gospel, as you do and say all in Jesus’ Name.
