For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant. Hebrews 9:15 (NIV).
A Covenant is a solemn agreement between two or more parties. Jesus is mediator of a New Covenant. This implies there was an old covenant. Covenants are known not to be easily changed, broken or removed except at the death of one of the parties.
When Jesus died on the Cross under the old covenant and having fulfilled all its terms and conditions He put that old and inferior covenant of the law away and brought in and established a New and better Covenant of Grace. This is what He meant on the Cross when He cried out It is finished! John 19:30
As Mediator of this New Covenant it means Jesus is solely the only party that played the whole part of fulfilling all the covenant’s terms and conditions. Because God already placed us in Christ, we are wholly included in this New Covenant as beneficiaries. We actively participate and experience and enjoy the benefits of this New Covenant by acknowledging Jesus Christ and what He did on the Cross for us and also acknowledging our inclusion in Him.
His Blood was shed to cleanse and free us from all our sins; making us right with God, redeeming us from the curse, and delivering us from all bondage and oppression, bringing us peace, blessing, favor and victory.
His Body was broken for our healing, health, and wholeness.
Go ahead experience all the benefits of The New Covenant as you declare, give thanks, live and walk conscious of Jesus Christ and what He has accomplished in His suffering on the Cross, His death and resurrection.
