Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” Revelation 21:5 (NKJV)
God is always into the new. With Him it’s always a new day, a new way, a new song, a new heart, new wine, a new covenant, new heavens, new earth, new man, new name, a new spirit, new mercies.
New is the very nature, state, and way of God. He never wears out, He never grows old, He abides the same forever.
New is whole, healthy, fresh, youthful, strong, vibrant, beautiful, fruitful, and longevity.
This is the very same state and way God intended all His creation to be forever. But then man sinned, and wear, fading tear, wasting, degeneration, aging, decay, growing old, death and destruction followed.
Yet God is not one to be out done. In Christ Jesus God has brought back all things to His original intended plan of everything forever new.
In Christ Jesus’ death God has brought an end to the old order and in His resurrection He has inaugurated newness of life.
When we look around us and beyond we do not see things made new. We can only realize this all things made new reality in Christ.
See Christ in what He has fulfilled in the Cross, see your Life in Him, see others in Him, see everything around you through Him and what He has done then you will clearly see that God has truly made all things new.
