Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
Matthew 24:35 (NKJV)
A story is told of an atheist (someone who says he doesn’t believe there’s a God) who burnt the Bible challenging the existence of God, that if God was there let Him rescue the Bible from burning.
The Bible got burnt but there remained a little part that couldn’t get burnt and on it was our theme text “heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away” That unbeliever became a believer. God’s Word like Himself cannot and shall never pass away. Everything shall be disproved, found lacking but not what God says. Only what God says has no expiry date, what He says cannot be counteracted. He has the final say.
He has the final say in everything concerning you.
Heaven and earth represent everything else in all creation. There’s nothing in all creation whether invisible or visible, in the past, present, or future, high up, deep down below or vastly wide that can or shall annul what God says with finality about you in His Son Jesus Christ. His final say is He loves you with an unconditional, unchangeable finality! What that means is He is with you, in you, for you, for your good and well being for all eternity and that’s final! That overrides and obsoletes every negative report that man, nature, circumstances, or evil may say about you. He has the final say!
