For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)
In this passage of scripture we ought to take note of the tense used;…we are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus…
He doesn’t say we will be created, or are in the process of being created.
God has created and finished us in Christ.
A workmanship is a completed perfect masterpiece. When a master artist applies the last brush and rests back satisfied with and admiring his finished masterpiece, there’s no one including the artist himself who can add to, remove from or improve on the work.
When God brought us forth in Christ it was a complete perfect work. He rested and has been resting ever since admiring and showing off His master piece. No one including God can add to, remove from, or improve on who we already are in Christ.
Stop asking God to mould you, break you, and reshape you.
Awake to and be fully persuaded of God’s workmanship, His masterpiece you already are in Christ. Then you will think, behave, and function like one.
