But from those who were reputed to be important (whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God doesn’t show partiality to man)—they, I say, who were respected imparted nothing to me, Galatians 2:6 (WEB)
At one time and for a long time God was known as the God of Israel and the Israelites the people of God in an exclusive way. All the rest of the nations were referred to as gentiles – people without God.
But when Jesus the Son of God and very God came as a man representing all of humanity and died and rose for all people, the true nature of a God without partiality came out plain and clear.
He is equally the God of the Jew and the Gentile, the religious and the unreligious; He’s the Lover, Savior, Redeemer and Justifier of the godly and ungodly. He causes His rain to come on the good people and evil people, His sun rises on the grateful and ingrates.
He shows no partiality.
