ALSO [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up). Luke 18:1 (AMPC)
In this parable Jesus makes it plainly clear that prayer is a most effective way of avoiding fainting or loosing heart.
It says that the parable is to the effect that people ought always to pray and not faint or loose heart.
So one of the reasons people faint and loose heart is not because they are naturally, physically, mentally, or financially weak or chicken hearted but rather because they don’t always pray.
We well know that prayer is making known to God what’s bothering or ailing us. If we don’t bring to God what’s troubling us we will try in our own natural limited wisdom and strength to deal with or carry it but all to utter failure and frustration. This is the cause of fainting or loosing heart. The cares and burdens of life can be effortlessly carried and dealt with only by one person – God.
Do not faint or loose heart. Pray. Take it all to the Lord in prayer. You will find a solace there.
