Strengthen the weak hands, And make firm the feeble knees. Say to those [who are] fearful-hearted, “Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come [with] vengeance, [With] the recompense of God; He will come and save you.” Isaiah 35:3-4 (NKJV).
When your knees are feeble you can’t stand, you can’t walk, and you can’t progress.
Feeble knees speak of a fearful heart. Many are fearful and so weakened and paralyzed to the point of defeat.
What makes feeble knees? What makes a fearful heart?
Words – fearful words. When fearful words are spoken, heard and dwelt on they make feeble knees, they make fearful hearts.
Terrifying news cause one to groan, they make the boldest heart melt with fear, causing all strength to disappear they make the spirit to faint and cause strong knees to become as weak as water. Ezekiel 21:7 (NLT)
What strengthens weak knees? Words. Encouraging, comforting, uplifting Words.
Words hold firm him who is falling, and words strengthen the feeble knees. Job 4:4 (AMPC)
We ought to be telling one another ‘Be strong, do not fear, behold your God….”
