If GOD hadn’t been there for me, I never would have made it. Psalms 94:17 (MSG)
We were never meant to be on our own, doing anything by our own, independent of God. The first-time man stepped on the DIY (Do It Yourself) path in the garden of Eden where he ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he ended up bringing about a universal destruction.
When humanity acted on their own, independent of God they fell abysmally. But God being the loving good Father He is, intervened. When God created us He gave us the wonderful gift of a free will. Because He is love He wanted us to freely relate with Him of our own choosing and not by coercion. But along with the free will came also the option and risk of us not choosing Him. Sure enough we did not choose Him and so we fell short of the choice of life and love He had for us. Romans 3:23(NKJV) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
But God had an intervention plan preconceived way before man sinned, before man was created.
1 Peter 1:18-20 (NIV) For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.
By the redemption in His Son Jesus Christ, God intervened to pull us out of the pit of destruction and death we had fallen in. Through the Blood of Christ God has intervened in our affairs. You’re not alone in life, you’re not on your own in that situation. You have a divine partner. There’s a divine intervention right there with you and for you. Whether it’s the enemy, other people, or you yourself who of your own doing got into that predicament, do not be dismayed, be of good cheer for there’s a God intervention readily available to help you out.
God always intervenes in our lives and affairs to help and save us liberally without a grudge, without finding fault. He’s not like those who will tell us “I told you over and over not to do that or go there, now you see you’re in trouble”
God will never tell us “I’ve had it enough with you, for the last several times I have been helping you out of your problems” God will always continue to help us in all circumstances.
In the Bible Jacob was a man who had his fair share of troubles but God always intervened on his behalf for his good. He worked hard with all his strength for Laban his father in law. But Laban was a dishonest, double-dealing crook who cheated and changed Jacob’s wages or salary ten times! Genesis 31:6-7
Nevertheless, God intervened in Jacob’s case. He ended up wealthier and stronger through the wisdom and blessing of God in his life and work. So, he tells Laban and we can say the same in the face of any challenge that:
Genesis 31:42 (MSG) If the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had not stuck with me, you would have sent me off penniless. But God saw the fix I was in and how hard I had worked and last night rendered his verdict.”
