And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth. Genesis 1:28 (AMPC)
Right from the beginning our mandate has always been to bear fruit.
Fruitfulness is an attribute we take on from God. It’s within God’s nature to bring forth after His own kind. Being created in His image and likeness we have the ability to produce after our own kind. It brings glory to God when we bring forth or reproduce all those godly attributes, characteristics, genes, traits, creative abilities, strengths, talents, skills, and gifts we inherited from Him. Fruitfulness is releasing what we have received from our heavenly Father to benefit another.
It is consistently manifesting godly character – walking in love, peace, and joy, being faithful, self-controlled, and meek, always patient, kind and good to others,
When we bear much fruit, the Father is honored and glorified, and we show and prove ourselves to be true followers of Jesus. See-John 15:8.
Hearing the Living Word of God, receiving it, accepting it, understanding it, and practicing it brings fruitfulness. See-Matthew 13:23
For instance hearing, accepting and understanding the Word concerning salvation, healing, provision, will bring fruit in the respective area.
