In the way of righteousness there is life; along that path is immortality. Proverbs 12:28 (NIV)
God’s best for us is life and immortality. It’s when sin entered the world that death also came – Romans 5:12. But God sent His Son Jesus Christ who freed us from sin with His Blood and through His death and Resurrection brought us Eternal Life. The way of righteousness where there’s life and the path where there’s immortality is Jesus Christ Himself. In Christ Jesus is Life and immortality. Whoever believes in Christ though he may die, he shall live, and whoever lives and believes in Christ shall never die. John 11:25-26. The person who believes in Jesus Christ although he may physically die, his spirit goes to live with the Lord in heaven – Acts 7:55-60. One day Jesus will come back to earth and the believers who died and those alive at that time will all receive new glorious bodies that never die but live forever – 1Thessalonians 4:13-17. This is the consummation of life and immortality for all of us who believe in Jesus Christ. We get into and walk in this way of life and path of immortality through hearing and believing the Gospel – 2Timothy 1:10.
