A WISE son heeds [and is the fruit of] his father’s instruction and correction, but a scoffer listens not to rebuke. Proverbs 13:1(AMPC).
Wisdom is given and received through instruction and correction. We have the Word of God as His instructions to give us and lead us in wisdom. The Holy Spirit has been given to us to instruct us in wisdom. He is called the Spirit of wisdom. It is the Holy Spirit who explains, reveals, and guides us in the wisdom that’s in the Word. God has also called and set men and women in the Church whom He has anointed and gifted to instruct His saints in wisdom – Ephesians 4:11-15 We have no excuse for not walking in wisdom. There’s the instruction and correction from the Word as we personally read, study, and meditate on it. There’s the instruction and correction from the Holy Spirit who is always all the time in us speaking to us. There’s the instruction from hearing the anointed preaching and teaching of the Word in the Church.
