The LORD preserves all who love Him… Psalm 145:20a (NKJV)
When the Lord tells us not to be afraid, anxious or troubled about anything it doesn’t mean that the things that pose fear, anxiety and trouble have been taken away. Though those things are around and threatening us, the Lord assures us that they won’t overcome, or destroy us because He preserves us from all of them. The Lord preserves us from all physical harm, loss, danger, and destruction – Isaiah 43:2. The Lord preserves us from all spiritual harm, loss, danger and destruction. Luke 10:19(NIV) I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. Salvation is the Lord preserving us from sin, demonic bondage, oppression of the mind, affliction of the body and a wasteful existence. By giving us Eternal Life the Lord preserves us from degeneration, decay, and death. No one who believes in Jesus shall die – John 11:25-26 for even physical death is only putting off the physical body and God has prepared for us an immortal glorious body – 2Corinthians 5:1. The Lord’s provision is preservation from lack, famine, and hunger. There is healing and health available from the Lord to preserve us from all affliction and pain. The peace that the Lord gives us is what preserves our hearts and minds from all confusion and distress – Philippians 4:7.
