Then I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy; And on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God. Psalms 43:4(NKJV)
We seek and seem to find joy in things, in people, in what we or others do, but there’s a kind of joy that’s far beyond that. This Joy is God Himself. It’s who He is in His nature. In God’s presence there’s fullness of Joy – Psalm 16:11. There’s no greater contentment than God Himself from whom comes and by whom exists every delight. When you know God as your source, and your all-sufficiency, and that He’s given Himself to you, then you are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy – 1Peter 1:8 God is our exceeding joy because He is our life, our peace, our hope, our confidence our salvation, our all in all.
