Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12 (AMPC).
When a desire takes too long to be fulfilled that’s hope delayed and that makes the heart sick. Scripture gives us ways we can see our desires fulfilled without much delay: Delight yourself in the Lord. Psalms 37:4(NKJV) Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Whatever your desire don’t focus so much on it. Focus on the Lord, let Him be your joy and satisfaction. Soon enough you will see your desire come to pass.Faith in the goodness of God. Matthew 15:28(NKJV) Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great [is] your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour. This woman was so convinced that God in His goodness can’t deny her request. She got her desire right away. Have and stay in God’s Word for what you’re desiring. John 15:7(NKJV) If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. Is what you’re desiring according to God’s Word? Stay in that Word declaring and giving thanks and soon the desire will come to pass.
