Statement of faith
We believe in one eternal God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, existent in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 4:4-6; John 10:30; John 14:26; Philippians 2:5-7.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God and is the final authority on all matters concerning faith. 2 Timothy 3:15- 17; 2 Peter 1:20, 21; 1 Thessalonians 2:13
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, born of a virgin. He’s the only mediator between God and Man. He lived a sinless and exemplary life as He walked among men, died on the cross in our place, rose again on the third day to prove His victory, He ascended to Heaven and He’s seated at the right hand of the Father. 1Timothy 2:5, Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-4; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5-11.
We believe that man is created in the image of God but separated from God and His purpose by sin. Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and this is by grace alone through repentance and faith in in Him.
We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that through the death and risen power of Jesus Christ all who believe in Him can be saved from the penalty and power of sin. Genesis 1:26, Ephesians 2:8,9; Romans 5:1-2; Romans 3:23-24; Romans 5: 12-21; John 3:16-21.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit whose indwelling empowers believers to live a godly life and continue in all the works of Jesus. John 3:5-8; Acts 1:8 and 4:31; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Galatians 5:16-18; Colossians 2:6-10.
We believe in the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ and that those who have believed in Him will be resurrected to eternal life in heaven, and that those who do not believe will be banished to everlasting punishment in hell. John 14:1-4; Matthew 16:27, 2 Corinthians 5:10-11; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7;
We believe that the Church is composed of all such persons who have believed and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and Lord and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head. 1 Corinthians 12:12, 27; Ephesians 1:22-23; Ephesians 1: 22-23; Hebrews 12: 23.
We believe that God has given some apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the Body of Christ. Mark 16: 15-20; Ephesians 4: 11-13.
We believe in water baptism by immersion for a believer is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life in Christ, as the way for believers to identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Matthew 3:13-17.
