Psalm 1:2a (NKJV) But his delight [is] in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.
The disciples of Jesus were excited that demons were subject to them in His Name. But Jesus told them that their excitement shouldn’t be in that but in the fact that their names are written in heaven. Luke 10:17-20.
They were excited about outward superficial temporary happenings but Jesus told them to be excited about an inward everlasting reality.
Are you excited about what’s going on outwardly, what you can physically see and feel or are you excited about inner realities though not necessarily seen or felt?
Are you excited about your relationship with God or the outward physical benefits you can get from Him?
When that which doesn’t change but lasts forever is your focus then your delight, your excitement shall never change but shall last forever.
Let God, His Word, His Salvation be your focus and meditation day and night. Then yours shall be constant everlasting joy.
