I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever Psalm 89:1a(NKJV)
God’s mercy means far more than Him not punishing us for wrong doing. Mercy is God’s loving concern, care, and help for us. There’re people whom Jesus healed who had cried out to Him “Son of David have mercy on us “ – Matthew 9:27. They’re were not saying” do not give us the punishment we deserve” They were appealing to the Lord’s loving concern, care, and help for them.It is the Lord’s mercies (loving concern, care, and help) that keep, build, strengthen, and maintain us. The Lord in His mercies carries the burdens we can’t carry, solves the problems we can’t solve, and handles the situations and people we can’t handle.Let God’s mercies work for you as you meditate on them, as you sing, praise, and thank Him for them.
