Therefore, my brethren, whom I love and yearn to see, my delight and crown (wreath of victory), thus stand firm in the Lord, my beloved. Philippians 4:1(AMPC)
Our standing, our acceptance, our being approved, our completeness is in no other except in the Lord Jesus Christ. Because we are in Christ, joined with Him, sharing in His Life, we are everything God ever desired us to be. Our place and position of stability and steadfastness is only in the Lord.
We should be fully persuaded of that, be firmly established in that, consistently live and walk in that and not allow anyone or anything to cause us to shift and drift away into something else.
Our standing is not in what we can do for God. It is not in where we come from according to flesh and blood, neither is it in our mental, experiential and physical qualities, abilities or accomplishments, nor is it in what we have acquired and accumulated as material and financial power. All these aren’t strong enough to uphold and carry us through life’s circumstances, conditions, challenges and crises.
It’s only in the Lord, in trusting, walking, and living in Him that we stay firm steadfast, immovable in all things, at all times.
