The Good News is always about the Righteousness of God. Our own righteousness based on what we have done is worthless because it’s not up to God’s standard – Romans 3:23(NLT).The Good News is that God has freely given us His Righteousness as a gift through what Jesus Christ did in dying for our sins and rising from the dead. God is not holding our sins against us but has made us right with Him by making Jesus who was without sin our sin bearer – 2 Corinthians 5:18-21.When we believe this, God’s power is released in our lives enabling us to effortlessly live right, whole, and pleasing to Him.This is the true Gospel, the power of God that saves from sin and all its effects.
