“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”). Matthew 1:23 (NIV)
There’s no more separation, no more distance between man and God. Immanuel has come and bridged whatever separation of any dimension – spirit, emotional, mental; physical there was between God and man.
In Christ Jesus God is united with man. John 1:14 (AMPC) And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we [actually] saw His glory (His honor, His majesty), such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father, full of grace (favor, loving-kindness) and truth.
In Jesus Christ, God has welcomed man into His space. Immanuel is about God and man sharing the same space. He came so that Deity and humanity could live in everlasting union and communion.
God became human in Jesus. Hebrews 2:14 (NLT) Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.
Man is born divine in Christ. Galatians 3:26 (NLT) For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
When you’re born of God you have His nature, you’re of His very own kind. You can therefore intimately fellowship with Him.
Immanuel is about God and man in intimate acquaintance. It’s family reunion. It’s Abba Father and all of us His beloved sons and daughters.
In Christ God has reconciled you to Him. See- 2 Corinthians 5:18, 19. He has embraced you, He has accepted you into His intimate fellowship.
Now you also respond to Him positively because He can’t force Himself onto you and it can’t be one sided.
Receive God’s reconciliation; accept His open wide embrace of you in Christ.
Allow Immanuel in your life. Receive His unconditional love and grace.
Jesus Christ is all about God with you, in you, and for you. Accepting Him is getting in on everything that God has for you.
To allow Immanuel in your life is to let God live, move, and express all that He is and has in and through you. Immanuel is Jesus – Call on His Name today and see His Salvation.
