Then, the same day at evening, being the first [day] of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace [be] with you.” John 20:19 (NKJV)
The disciples had shut themselves in and hid in fear. But Jesus appearing and standing in their midst proclaimed “Peace to you”.They had lost sight of what Jesus had told them that He would die and rise.In our theme Scripture note that “peace with you” follows Jesus standing in their midst. Peace is Jesus standing in the midst. When Jesus the Prince of Peace is at the center of your life or circumstances the result is peace.Jesus at the center of your life refers to Him being Lord and running your life. It means His Word, His ways governing your thoughts, and conduct.
