So then, my dear friends, stand firm and steady. Keep busy always in your work for the Lord, since you know that nothing you do in the Lord’s service is ever useless. 1 Corinthians 15:58 (GNT)
No one is given or gets time for anything, we make time for everything. Whatever we accomplish it’s because we intentionally on purpose aggressively set out to carry it out to the finish. So many things, the important and the meaningless are all vying for our time.
There will never be a moment when there’s nothing else to do and therefore have time for the Lord. There is never a moment in our life that’s a break away from God’s work. Everything about us and all we do ought to be God’s work. There shouldn’t be anything that we do that’s not God’s work. We are co-workers with Him already. 2 Corinthians 6:1 (NIV) As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain.
Making time for God’s work begins with acknowledging that whatever we do, we do it in the Lord, because we are in Him, a part of Him, united with Him. We also do everything to the Lord, in praise, honor and glory to Him. Everything we do is our worship to the Lord.
See the Lord involved in everything you do and you’ll find yourself involved in His work all the time. Talk to him as you go about your everyday activities and He will guide you in all you do. His guidance will always lead you on the path of His glorious work.
Make time for God and He will make for you time for His work.
Desire to know the Lord, His will and ways. Spend time with Him in His Word, and worship. You will hear Him and receive instructions from Him. Then you will abound in His work.
