1In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. 4In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. John 1:1, 4 (AMPC)
The Word and God are one. Everything that’s in God is in His Word. The Life of God is in His Word. Our contact and connection with God’s Word is a contact and connection with the very Life of God.
The Life of God that’s in His Word is more than mere existence and continuity.
It’s everlasting wholeness. It’s nothing missing, nothing broken. It’s total completeness.
The Life of God that’s in His Word includes the fullness of all that God is and has. It includes His, peace, joy, rest, health, strength, wisdom and prosperity.
How do we take advantage of the Life of God in His Word?
Proverbs 4:20-22 (AMPC) My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.
The Word of God is Life to the person who finds it (the Word). This means you take advantage of and enjoy the Life in the Word when you find the Word.
Finding the Word means attending to, consenting to and submitting to it. It means setting our mind and heart on it.
We do all this as we read, hear, speak, study, meditate and act on the Word.
As you read or listen to the Word you’re sharing and partaking in its Life.
As you speak the Word you’re releasing the Life in it to operate in you, others around you, and your circumstances.
Read, listen to and study the Word to partake of the Life in it.
Meditate on, confess and act on the Word to participate in the Life in it.
