A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure. Proverbs 16:9 (AMPC)
Do not walk and live on your own in your own strength and wisdom. Do not conduct the affairs of your life exclusively relying on what your eyes see or your brain says or what circumstances dictate. Do not make choices driven by convenience, condition, or crisis. Do not go by experience regarding life’s choices challenges. That’s an uncertain, laborious, and burdensome way of existence.
Let God guide your steps. Look to and totally lean on the Lord to lead you in all the affairs of life.
God guides our steps in His Word. Psalms 119:105 (NLT) Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. For and in every circumstance, condition, challenge, or crisis, God has already spoken a Word that has been written down in the Scriptures and He continues to speak that Word live and appropriate for the given occasion. Therefore get into God’s ever living and relevant Word.
God also guides our steps from within our hearts. So go with what’s in your heart and not in your brain. Nothing wrong with your brain but submit it to your heart.
