Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse]. James 1:17 (AMPC)
Father means source. God is our source. We have the one who’s more than enough as our source. The one who’s able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think is our source. There’s nothing impossible with Him who’s our source. Not only is He able to do anything but also willing to do it. It is His good pleasure to give us everything that’s good and beneficial.
The Lord’s prayer starts with ” Our Father in heaven” this is far way before “give us this day our daily bread”
Before we think of what we need, want or desire we should acknowledge and focus on Father – our source. Actually, when we are source conscious or Father conscious we won’t be need, want or lack conscious. Jesus told us that the heathen, the gentiles, the ungodly – those who don’t recognize God fight and manipulate and exploit in order to get the necessities of life. In other words, those who are not Father focused and conscious painfully struggle to make it in life. But believers shouldn’t live like that. When we are focused and are conscious of the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness in us, we find that all these things required for life are already available to us. The kingdom of God and His Righteousness is all wrapped up in who He is. He is our loving, caring, providing Father. In Him we lack nothing but rather live move and have our being. In him we are filled. He is the Lord our Shepherd. We lack nothing in the midst of His unending abundant care and provision.
Meditate on the truth of God in your life. See Him as your source. Call him Father, talk, praise, worship, pray to Him as Father.
