Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground. Exodus 14:15-16 (NIV)
After the children of Israel left Egypt, because of the hardening of his heart, Pharaoh pursued them and found them camping before the sea. On seeing the chariots, horses and army of the Egyptians just behind them, the children of Israel were terrified and cried out to God. Exodus 14:8-10. Behind them the enemy who looked mightier than them was closing in on them and in front was the sea they couldn’t cross. They were between a rock and a hard place so to speak. Couldn’t go forward, couldn’t go back. But God answered them “move on” The Amplified Bible says” go forward”, The Good News Bible says “move forward”
No matter what’s stacked up against you, no matter how hard you are being pushed back, this is the word, the wisdom, the instruction of God to you “keep moving forward”
Keep believing in who you are in Christ no matter how much or how many times you’ve missed it and acted the opposite way. Keep doing the right thing no matter how things have gone wrong from external factors. Keep treating right those who persist in doing you wrong. Stay on the right track of believing, speaking and seeing yourself in perfect health even in the face of symptoms or a doctor’s report that says it’s over.
Go forward with that ministry, course, career, business, and project which they told you that everyone before you including many who are more competent than you have tried and failed to start or succeed at. As long as you have God’s Word for it keep moving forward.
From our text scripture God told Moses to raise his staff and stretch out his hand over the sea to divide the water so they could walk on dry ground. The raising of the staff and stretching out of the hand signifies acting in authority. In order to keep moving forward we ought to know and act on the authority we’ve been given as believers and children of God. We’ve been given authority to speak to mountains or obstacles or hindrances or opposition and they move out of our way. Mark 16:23
As you start this new month, keep moving forward as you speak and act in your God given authority.
