[Born anew] into an inheritance which is beyond the reach of change and decay [imperishable], unsullied and unfading, reserved in heaven for you. 1 Peter 1:4(AMPC)
When a child is born into a family, he’s born into everything that family is and has. Whatever that family possesses that child is a partaker of. If that family is royalty that’s exactly what that child is born into, that’s what he is and that’s what he has – royalty. If that family is wealthy then that child is born into wealth, that child is wealthy right from the word go.
We were born into the family of Abba Father God. We were born into the family of deity. We share in divinity. We are partakers of and participaters in the divine nature.
2 Peter 1:4 (NKJV) by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption [that is] in the world through lust.
We possess the very nature of God. This is the unfading imperishable inheritance to which we have been born anew.
As God’s children we share in all His attributes.
As He is so are we in this world. See- 1 John 4:17.
We share in His Life which is Eternal Life.See-1John5:11-13.
We share in His Spirit – The Holy Spirit is joined with our spirit, He lives in us and with us forever.
We share in God’s Righteousness. See-2 Corinthians 5:21.
We share in His Love which has been poured throughout our hearts. See- Romans 5:5
So we are not mere weak lowly human beings but partakers and participaters in the divine nature. We can live extraordinary glorious lives that are befitting of deity. We can love selflessly and unconditionally like God does. We can live righteous lives, blameless and above reproach like God. Above all we can relate and fellowship with God at His level of intimacy and fullness. All this is possible not by our natural brains, human willpower, or physical strength but by the Spirit of God who lives and is active in us. Get in touch with, stay connected to, live and function out of your divine self. This is your God ordained life. This is your imperishable inheritance.
